Page 2 of 4 Then select first two and attach them (edit NURBS/Attach Surfaces), then select that new and attach third to it. Then you can do rebuild surfaces, check keep CV’S, this will move points to better positions.
So you got the hull of the ship. Delete history, and then delete curves.
Then create one curve from the beginning of the ship to the end. Use C for curve snapping. That curve must be in the perfect middle.
Then select the ship surface and go to isopram selection mode. Select the top isopram, and go to edit curves/duplicate surface curves. This will make curve from selected isopram.
Then select these two curves and go surfaces/planar.
Planar surface is created from curves. Delete history and curves.
Then create curves in the middle. Use X to snap them to Axis, so they can be mirrored to other side.
Select them and go surfaces/extrude option box.
Select Y axis, and choose length. These surfaces will be flat so you can use linear degree.
You shall get something like this:
Create another curve (in options for CV curve tool choose linear since the surface will be flat). Duplicate it, select both and go surfaces/loft. Loft creates surface from 2 or more curves.
In side view create another linear curve.
Make planar surface from it.
Now, for this select surface and click magnet icon. Any curve you create now will be on that surface. Create one linear curve and duplicate it. When moving those curves, they are moving inside the surface. When done unselect all and click magnet again.
Then go to edit nurbs/trim tool. In options change mode to keep or discard. You must discover this alone. Click on the parts you want to keep/discard. Hit enter when done.
Now you have surface with holes.
Duplicate it.
Now select them both and press F8. In selection mask, choose nurbs trim edges. Then select two by two trim edges and loft them.
