"A little more materials"

And now for the high tone (again just audio talk :) ), make a cube 6.5 x 14.2 x 1 cm and with 1x1x1 segments and pierce it straight off with a 5.4x13x2cm with the same number of segments and convert to poligons and make a rectangle 5.4x13 and than a circle with a 1cm radius. Center to the place where the cube like opening is noting to move the circle around a centimeter back. Press the "h" button and select rectangle01 and circle01 and press Alt + Q on your keyboard to isolate the selected objects. Now move to front view port and in it make lines like in the next picture using snap 3d with checked vertex (from the main toolbar find "snaps toggle" and click right button on that button, you will get a dialog window in wich you should be a checked checkbox (figures :)) next to vertex) And you should get something like this.

Image

As you can see one of the lines is not good, we will corect this by selecting the line (press "1" on your keyboard) select all the vertices on the line and click the right mouse button from the menu and choose smooth option, it usualy curves lines  but here we will use it a bit differently. Now select one of the lines in the rollout under Geometry and find the "Attach" button and select all the straight lines. Select all vertice at the circle and with the right mouse button choose the "bezier" option. From the top viewport set the curvature like in the picture.

Image

Now get out of sub-level and select all the lines and transform them to NURBS. Go to front viewport and select the circle and than press "2" on your keyboard and from the rollout on the side find the "break" button and click it, with the mouse pointer click on the places where the straight lines meet the circle. Get out of this sub-leve and find the NURBS Creation toolbox under general rollout and click it and choose a 2-reail sweep and select the lines like in the next picture.

Image

Now do this for all 4 segments of the circle. After you are finished with the surface making convert it to poligons. And now make a circle the size of the last one you mad and position it around the sam place and pull back 0.25cm, now make another 0.01 cm in diameter wich you will hold together in line with this whole object and convert it to nurbs and in almost the same way like we already did we will use the loft surface to fill it and just select one and than the other that should do it. If everything went acording to plan it should look something like this.

Image

Go out of isolation and you will see that everything is in its place (or at least should be) you now need to attach everything, take the parts you just modeled and attach it to the sticking out thing in the middle. The next step is making the screws on the high tone speaker, make a tube, cylindar and a cube to look like this (tube is 0.3cm on the outside) and offcourse meld into one object.

Image

Make four copies of this "screw" and set them like in the pic.

Right, now using boolean make holes for these screws. After that we are going to bend the edges on the speakers (looks too perfect :P ) select the edges

Image

From the edit geometry rollout click the button next to chamfer option and in the open dialog box type in 0.4cm and click ok, do this from the inside too just change the size to 0.22cm. Last little things we will create the covers. Make a box size a bit smaller than the speakers box and tare down outer sides so that they fit the segments of the box, with a little boolean it should look something like this.

Image

Add four double cilynders to ends of the lid to make it look something like this.

Now that you have a copy of this speaker we can say it looks ok but still a lot computer like since we have not aplied materials yet.
